November has been a tough cookie in this household but we’ve done our best to keep the kids entertained and at ease in the run-up to Christmas. I’m yet to find my festive spirit, I am never usually a ‘Bah Humbug’ sort of gal but it’s not easy at present.
As I mentioned in an earlier post, we took the kids to the local Dickensian festival this weekend. The boys wore their bowler and top hats whilst E and I stuck with sensible woolen wear to keep ourselves wrapped up warm as it was frosty out. Despite the endless stalls lined with mince pies, mulled wine, cheeses, and everything Christmas-orientated, I still couldn’t find my festive get-go. Let’s hope that I locate it within the next few weeks or else I may end up at risk of becoming the Grinch and we can’t be having that!
