Other than attending a couple of fireworks displays and a few sixth-form open evenings, we’ve not been out all that much this month as quite frankly the weather has been pants!
I suspect this rather snuggly snapshot of E curled up on the chair with her fury friend just about sums November up. With the wet, miserable, dark, and dank weather we’ve spent most our evenings curled up on the couch either tuned into the television or battling each other on Bopl Battle (if you know, you know…).
We had been hoping to attend this years Dickensian Festival but thanks to Storm Bert and the snow, hail, rain, and various weather-based issues we stayed safe, dry, and snuggled here at home.
The kids have been working their socks off over these past few weeks; J has had his nose to the grindstone revising for his mock GCSE exams which he’s currently sitting on a daily basis. He’s also had some big decisions to make in terms of his future and the path in terms of education that he may wish to take. Meanwhile, E has been staying on top of her homework whilst getting festive with various Christmas artsy crafts. She’s got a rough ride coming up this week as she’s due to have two teeth out in preparation for getting braces in the new year – I won’t lie, I’m bricking it on her behalf! They are certainly very determined, brave, and gutsy kids!
Here’s hoping that the weather improves quick sharp so we can get out in the fresh, winter air and enjoy some festive family fun over the next few weeks to help lift the mood and blow away the cobwebs ready for Christmas.
Thank you for reading this month’s #LivingArrows . I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your posts or comments on this post.
