October usually feels like such a lengthy month yet here we are almost at the end of it and I’m not entirely sure what we’ve done over the past four weeks. I guess working from home and sticking to a smooth schedule/ rigid routine makes time fly. It’s half-term here and as of tomorrow, I’m free to enjoy a couple of days out and about with the kids celebrating Halloween and cracking on with autumnal activities. We’ve decorated for the spooky season but we are yet to carve our pumpkins, that’ll be tomorrow’s shenanigans along with baking gingerbread and stocking up on sweets for the trick-or-treaters.
Both J and E have their Halloween outfits ready to rock and roll and I’ve booked us in at a local Halloween festival so they get to make the most of their costumes. E has decided that she’s going to be Beetlejuice whilst J has opted to be a skeletal Pirate. I, on the other hand, don’t need an outfit or makeup as I’m scary enough without any of that caper!
Here’s hoping that you all have a Happy Halloween and a brilliant Bonfire Night. Once that’s all done and dusted it’ll be the countdown to the big ‘Ho Ho’…
