So here we are at the end of July already – it’s strange how quickly time flies by despite us having to battle the boredom of being stuck in lockdown limbo. So without further ado, here are a few of the things which I have #LikedandLoved throughout July.
The End Of Term & The End of An Era
School (or should I say homeschool?) came to a close for the academic year. J is no longer a junior, he has now finished primary school entirely, and come September will be moving on to senior school, whereas E has now finished in the infants and come autumn will be a junior.…
Here we are, halfway through the year from hell – what I’d do to wake up one morning and to discover that the past six months have been nothing but a nightmare, sadly that’s not the case and so I continue to try and look at the lighter side of things. So without further ado, here are some of the things which I have #LikedandLoved throughout June.
Fun In The Sun
Every now and then (like once in a blue moon) us Northerners get to see the yellowy-orangy ball in the sky and though it’s often hidden behind a cloud, this week there were no clouds to be seen and the temperature shot up to a whopping thirty-something-degrees, leaving us with no other option other than to laze around like Brits abroad.…
I don’t always find it easy writing lists of the things that I have ‘liked and loved’ throughout the month, especially so during 2020. This year has brought so much sorrow and upset, it’s often difficult to dredge through the despair to find the light within the dark.

At last, April is over and we are through yet another month of lockdown. I suspect that we will have at least another three weeks if not more being stuck inside, though it’s all for our own safety and therefore I must not moan… (moan moan moan).
Despite being stuck within the same four walls, we’ve made the most of our time together – here are a few of the things which I have #LikedandLoved throughout April.
Paul Turned Thirty-Something
Though we tend to celebrate birthdays by enjoying trips and treats out and about, this year we were forced to celebrate Paul’s birthday in ‘sitting room style’ aka – we had yet another day in lockdown.…
I feel almost guilty for writing a ‘positive post’ as the past three months or so have been pure hell, yet here I am trying to look on the bright side – it doesn’t seem nor feel right considering current circumstances (by which I am not referring to the pandemic nor the lockdown). I, however, feel that I owe it to my kids to wear a brave face and for that reason alone, I will continue to blog upon the brighter aspects of what is an incredibly dark time.
So without further ado, here are a few of the things which I have #LikedandLoved throughout March…
Having repainted our dining room and kitchen with a beautiful shade of sage green, I could no longer cope with the straggly, stained roller blinds – they weren’t fit for purpose nevermind presentation!…
