So here it is – the final week before the summer holidays commence and in true British style, the weather is getting itself ready for the occasion as it’s currently pouring it down with rain. Though we had a few showers at the weekend, we were still able to get out to enjoy our weekly walk and to spend time in the great outdoors aka our garden.
Whilst I’d love to go for strolls along the shore this summer, it seems everyone else has the same idea at present as our beaches are currently packed with people from here, there, and everywhere despite the virus doubling if not tripling in numbers as each day passes by. Thankfully we’ve got our stylish and safe haven at home, though that’s going to be rather short-lived as we will be packing our bags at some point in the next week to stay with my Mum whilst our builders get busy with the kitchen renovations. Until then, we are making the most of our amenities – the kids have been enjoying their inflatable rafts (last weeks cheap and cheerful purchase) which they’ve taken turns in using as the hot tub ain’t exactly swimming pool-sized but hey – it does the job!
Soaking In Style

Crafty Little Lady
E meanwhile spent the majority of her weekend getting creative in what is technically our summerhouse though E refers to it as her ‘art studio’. She’s got shelves filled with colouring pencils, paints, oils, chalks, felt, clay, stickers, coloured foam, canvases, and all sorts of creative craft resources. I’ve never seen her so happy – she’s like a pig in muck!

It was a fun-filled rather busy weekend what with the football and all. We supported England all the way by painting our faces, singing the songs and colouring and hanging mountains of England flags. Sadly it wasn’t to be but the kids enjoyed the atmosphere and I’m sure it’ll be a memory for them to look back upon when we do eventually bring it home.
Thank you for reading and as always, I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments upon this post.

I bet it’s lovely to have a hot tub at home to use whenever you want! And E’s art studio looks awesome, no wonder she loves it!

Oh I love that she has an art studio! (or summerhouse). So lovely for them to have their own space. I am still very envious of your hot tub.
