Today would have been my Father’s 65th birthday, though sadly he’s no longer here to celebrate with us. Thus, we’ve respectfully marked the occasion by taking a beautiful bouquet of flowers to his grave, by sitting and sharing a roast dinner and a glass or two of wine around the table, and finally by lighting and twirling sparklers together as a family to show our respects and to send our best wishes starwards.

Oh my Rachel, I didn’t realise how young your Dad was. My Father-in-Law passed away at 61 years, five years ago, so they would have been almost the same age. I’m glad you managed to find a way to mark his special day. He’ll always be with you in your hearts and keeping his memory alive will help. xx
