Our beautiful little lady turned ten years old this week. No longer is she a single-digit girl – she’s double-digits all the way!
She woke to a house covered in balloons and banners and was spoilt rotten with cards and presents galore including a brand new bike ready for upcoming cycling proficiency, a beautiful flute which she will begin learning to play shortly, a range of Squishmallow plush toys, and various Harry Potter-themed bits and bobs to go in the room of requirements AKA E’s boudoir.
After unwrapping her presents and opening her cards E, J, and their cousin traveled down to Morecambe where they enjoyed a MacDonalds dinner and an afternoon bouncing around at JumpRush. We then came home and had a family tea followed by the obligatory cake and the blowing out of the candles.
Here’s hoping that the weather holds out as we are planning on a small get-together for her friends at the weekend to complete the celebrations with a movie, snacks, and some time out with mocktails and music in the hot tub.
It really doesn’t feel like ten years since our beautiful little princess entered this world; she’s such a unique, creative, kind, caring, funny, clever, inspired, and intelligent little lady – it feels like she has been with us forever and I can’t even remember what life was like before E.
