Having spent the first week of the summer holidays winding down and relaxing at home, we finally got ourselves into action and made some plans for the summer, starting with a day out in the Lakes kayaking with the kids.
Though J and Paul were both happy to paddle around in the kayaks for a few hours, E wasn’t too keen on having to use the ores to paddle and push herself around the water thus opted to spend the afternoon swimming whilst I watched and took some photos from the safety of the shore.

I’m hoping to either borrow or purchase a paddle board for when we next go to the Lake as I think this might suit both E and myself a little bit more than the kayaks… The boys can stick to their toys and us girls will keep things simple with a picnic and a paddle board.
Thank you for reading and as always, I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments on this post.

She looks like she’s having a great time in the water 🙂
This looks like great fun – and I’d love a paddleboard! I nearly got one recently but then found out the waterways near us you need a licence to use! x
