#LittleLoves – Ugg Life, Baking Bliss & Meeting Maisy

So it’s finally Saturday and whilst I’d love to announce that the weekend has arrived, I’ve barely had time to stop as of yet and come tomorrow I’ll be back behind the bar pulling pints. I really need a little rest but it’s rather difficult at present whilst working two jobs and running a household of four.

I feel as if my blog has become rather bland of late, apologies should you agree with this statement, I am hoping to find some time to spend snapping photos and sharing my stories with you once I’m settled into a routine of sorts, until then I’m afraid this is the best I can muster.

So without further apologies or explanations, here are my #LittleLoves from the past week gone by.

Read

Surprise surprise, I haven’t really read much of anything unless you count having spent time reading with my little ones. E has jumped up yet another reading level and seems to enjoying the challenge of slightly more advanced reading books, J on the other hand has finished reading the first instalment of ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid’ and is now onto the second book which he seems to be flying through.

Heard

Having spent a few hours out and about in the car without the kids onboard, Paul and I were finally able to pump up the volume and to take a trip down memory lane with the likes of ‘American Head Charge’ ,’Slipknot’, ‘Marilyn Manson’, ‘System of a Down’ and ‘The Prodigy‘.

It may be entirely inappropriate but I couldn’t help but to bounce along to ‘Smack My B***h Up’ as we made our way up the M6 earlier this arvo.

Watched

I can’t say that I’ve really watched anything out of the ordinary this week, it’s been all about the soaps unless you count the odd Top Gear rerun on Dave.

Made

I may be busy but I’ve somehow found the time to fit in baking each week, it simply wouldn’t be the same without our regular family favourites. I once again threw a batch of Flapjack into the oven earlier this week which was consumed almost instantly by the kids and my colleagues.#LittleLoves - Ugg Life, Baking Bliss & Meeting Maisy

Whilst at work I have also created two displays within the classroom both of which I am rather proud of, I’m now looking forward to dabbling with yet more displays in the near future.

Wore

I really need to look into buying some new boots and shoes as I seem to be the only person wearing Uggs on a daily basis despite the fact that it’s baltic outside and boots seem to be the only option in my eyes.

How is it that half of the high street are walking around with bare ankles in tiny pumps or trainers?! I’m not sure I could cope with having my skin exposed at this time of year, I’d either freeze or cry, either way boots seem to be the only option at present.

And Lastly

Earlier today my husband and I drove down to Wigan where we met the newest addition to our family, a rather beautiful basset hound named Maisy. As Maisy is currently four weeks of age we have yet to wait before we are able to bring her home, still it was well worth the visit as not only did we meet our Maisy but we also met the biggest pack of basset hounds I have ever come across and had such fun doing so.

How cute is your new puppy! I bet you can’t wait to bring her home with you. I’d love to get a dog but my husband is allergic to animal fur and not keen on getting one at all. Boo.
Hope you’re having a good week! xx
