Welcome to my latest #LittleLoves post, part of a blog-linky sharing the positive points from the month. Feel free to participate, either by adding a comment or by linking your blog posts below.
April flew by, time seems to be shifting swiftly of late. So without further ado, here are some of my #LittleLoves from the month gone by.
Read
Now that I’m working full time I don’t have quite the same amount of time to dedicate to reading and such-like as I once did. Still, I enjoyed reading Elsie Silver’s ‘Wild Eyes’ earlier this month and have since made a start on the next book within the same series.
Watched
Paul and I completed watching season three of The White Lotus, we then binge-watched ‘Dying For Sex‘, a saucy yet heart-wrenching series on Disney +. We enjoyed watching the Gladiators final and I’ve continued to watch my daily episodes of Home and Away and Eastenders which is part of my regular routine alongside Celebrity Big Brother which sadly came to a close tonight.
Heard
TikTok is such an influential social media platform when it comes to Music and that’s very apparent as I’ve spent the past month blasting Chappell Roan’s ‘Pink Pony Club’ on volume twenty whilst driving to and from work each day. I love the lyrics, I love the meaning behind the song, and I can’t help but to the notice the likeness in style to that of Tori Amos.
Made
Although the kids are getting older, they still love a little ‘holiday magic’; thus, Paul put together an elaborate Easter egg hunt as he does each and every year. The kids were, as always, spoiled rotten with gifts, money, and of course, plenty of chocolate to enjoy. I’ve also done some baking this month as Paul celebrated his birthday which required an obligatory chocolate cake.
Wore
Having been given the most fabulous pair of slipper boots as part of my Mother’s Day gifts this year, I have since been parading around the house in my beloved Bedroom Athletics Leopard Print Slipper Boots. There’s nothing better than kicking off your shoes after a busy day at work and snuggling into a pair of fluffy slippers!
My Top Three Moments From The Month Gone By
- I cannot express how proud I am of our son at present. He’s really putting in the hard yards in terms of revision for his upcoming GCSE examinations. He spent the majority of his Easter break with his head buried in his books, and I’m soooo impressed with his efforts.
- The kids enjoyed a fabulous day out with family to the Ratty (a local miniature railway). We then spent the evening sharing a takeaway and catching up with family to celebrate the Easter holidays.
- Paul turned the grand age of forty-two earlier this month. We celebrated by spending the day shopping in Manchester and enjoying a meal at Cosmo World Cuisine.
Thanks for reading my #LittleLoves post, I look forward to catching up and reading through your #LittleLoves posts

Sounds like a lovely day out re the model railway. When one of the kids was little, we spent a lot of time visiting those…but those days are sadly done. I miss them. Off to check out dying for sex….
