Perusing The Pantha Oracle & Zodiac Cards

Alongside reading the Tarot, I often like to delve into further divination techniques by adding additional cartomancy tools such as Oracle cards. I recently received a brand new Oracle deck from Deckstiny; the Pantha Oracle alongside 12 Chinese Zodiac Cards, and 12 Western Zodiac Cards.

Who Is Deckstiny?

Deckstiny, formerly named ‘Shuffle Tarot’ is a Thailand-based company that has created numerous popular Tarot and divination decks that are available to purchase Worldwide. Deckstiny is a team collaboration and the Pantha Oracle and zodiac card sets were created by Mate Horonumber and illustrated by Oomsin Phumphat.

Trendy Tuck Boxes

The Pantha Oracle and Zodiac Card sets arrive in simple cardboard tuck-boxes. Both the cards and the packaging within each deck are initially wrapped in a protective layer of cellophane and whilst I understand that this is to protect the cards, it seems like a whole lot of plastic waste and I personally feel that future packaging ought to be more environmentally friendly.

The Cards

The Pantha Oracle and additional Zodiac Card sets are printed on 330 GSM german black core card stock with a matt coating. These dinky divination cards measure only 57 x 98mm in size and feature pretty purple, glitzy foil edging. This is a pocket-sized deck featuring clear cartoon-style imagery and a range of keywords.

The Pantha Oracle

First published in 2021,  the Pantha Oracle is an eighty-card, ‘easy to use’ divination solution offering quick and simple answers to questions and queries. Pantha in Thai means ‘a thousand eyes’ suggesting this is indeed an all-seeing, all-knowing divination deck.

The Zodiac Cards

Alongside the Pantha Oracle Deckstiny has also released two additional decks; The Western Zodiac Cards and The Chinese Zodiac Cards. Each add-on deck features thirteen cards in total (all of which are also printed on the same card stock as the Pantha Oracle).

Both the Western Zodiac Cards and the Chinese Zodiac Cards each come with a special card (as shown below).

Taking A Closer Look At The Pantha Oracle and The Zodiac Cards

In order to further illustrate and explain The Pantha Oracle, I have put together a detailed walkthrough of both the main deck and the two zodiac sets.

Reading and Working with The Pantha Oracle

I’ve spent the past few weeks using the Pantha Oracle to complement and add further information to my daily Tarot readings. Though I understand many people will choose Oracle decks as an entirely separate form of divination from Tarot, I personally like to combine the two to produce more detailed divination. If need be, you can use websites like EarthlySoul to understand the zodiac and work out what it means for you.

I personally have chosen to combine the Pantha Oracle with the Western and Chinese Zodiac add-on packs to create one deck, though I understand this is a personal preference and some may prefer to keep these decks separated. Though I rather like the zodiac cards and appreciate their value, I feel that they lack the keywords which the Pantha Oracle features throughout.

The Pantha Oracle is super dinky and incredibly cute, especially with its pretty purple edging. The cards feature bold, bright illustrations and keywords making this an incredibly easy deck to use for all ages and abilities. This is the ideal starter deck for anyone wishing to take their first steps into card casting or cartomancy.

Purchasing and Pricing Information

The Pantha Oracle, 12 Chinese Zodiac Cards, and 12 Western Zodiac Cards are available to purchase online via Deckstiny’s Etsy Store. Customers can choose whether to buy the decks separately or as a combination.

The Pantha Oracle retails from £47.67, and each add-on deck is priced individually at £21.85. Customers may purchase the Pantha Oracle along with one only add-on pack for £57.61, or purchase all three decks for a total of £67.54. Deckstiny charges an additional £32.28 for delivery to the UK and whilst I understand that this may be expensive, if you are wishing to buy a number of Deckstiny decks then it may be worth combining your purchases in order to make a saving on postage and packaging.

Personalise Your Pack

The Pantha Oracle and Zodiac add-on decks are available with either matt-foil or glitter-3D-edging (as featured in this review).

To Summarise

The Pantha Oracle is a cute, clear and easy to read oracle deck ideal for readers of all ages and abilties. With cute cartoon-style imagery and clear keywords, the Pantha Oracle is the perfect divination deck for first-time cartomancy.
