Welcome to this month’s #LittleLoves post, celebrating the positive points from the month gone by. This will be the second-to-last #LittleLoves post, as this blog will come to a close at the end of the year. With the kids being that much older, I have decided to start afresh and to start a new blog under a new name, focusing on topics away from parenting. Whilst I won’t be announcing the name or any links here, if you would like to continue following me or wish to join in future blog linkies on my new blog, then feel free to drop me a message via my contact page.
Without further ado, here are my #LittleLoves from the past thirty days or so.
Read

It’s been such a hectic month, I haven’t had a huge amount of time for reading, yet somehow I’ve got through two books: Ana Huang’s ‘The Defender’ and Adam Silvera’s ‘The Survivor Wants To Die At The End’, which is the final in his TikTok sensation trilogy.
Watched

With Christmas just around the corner, most of the TV series that Paul and I have enjoyed watching seem to have come to an end to make way for festive films. Thankfully, Paul and I found other programs to keep us entertained this month, including the BBC’s ‘Riot Women’, which I have to say is a must-watch! Sally Wainwright is such an amazing writer, and the music absolutely had me. It was one of the best series I’ve watched in a very long time!
Heard

With Christmas arriving shortly, my colleague and I have now switched permanently to Heart Xmas, and I’ve got to say, it really lifts my mood during a working day.
Made

Though we haven’t got much time for crafts these days, we still love our baking. This month, E made her first gingerbread loaf, and despite not having quite enough treacle (so she had to substitute the goop for extra syrup), the result was mouth-watering. You really cannot beat gingerbread during the bonfire night season.
Wore

Having got the ‘bug’, Paul and I returned to the local tattoo parlour for yet more ink this month. I have had a stunning infinity sign and heart with the kids’ names and dates of birth put onto my arm, whilst Paul opted for a crow with a quote that is meaningful to him. Following this, I had my nails done ready for Christmas, and I’ve already started coming up with ideas and drawings ready for my main tattoo, which I’m hoping to have on my back next year…It’s so addictive!
My Top Three Moments From The Month Gone By

November has whizzed by, and every weekend has been filled with various activities. However, here are my top three moments from the month gone by:
- We were graced with dry weather and celebrated a brilliant bonfire night as a family at the local fireworks display.
- We took a trip to the local Dickensian Festival, where we browsed through the seasonal shops and enjoyed chocolate rum, cake, and a hot cup of coffee whilst listening to a harp group play festive songs. It really was magic!
- After years of deliberating, E finally bit the bullet and decided to have her ears pierced. Typical E chose to have her first piercings carried out at the most ‘rock and roll’ tattoo parlour I’ve ever known, and what’s more, she went in all by herself! I was totally flabbergasted by her bravery and so incredibly proud of her.
Thanks for reading my #LittleLoves post. I look forward to catching up and reading through your #LittleLoves posts

I love gingerbread. I too was wonderign if I could switch out Golden Syrup with Maple Syrup as I don’t want to buy a bottle of something we will never eat otherwise…Love the nails! Gorgeous. Will check out Riot Women as I’ve never even heard of it.
