Welcome to the final post for #LittleLoves. Though I’ve adored hosting this linky and celebrating the positives each month, all good things must come to an end, and so here are my final #LittleLoves.
Read
December has been full on, and as a result, I’ve had very little time for reading. Still, I managed to wade my way through Chloe Walsh’s ‘Releasing 10’, the latest book in the Boys of Tommen series. I’m now desperate for 2026 to arrive so that I can get my hands on the next three books in the same series that she’s planning on releasing, as these books have got me gripped! I’ve also dipped into my Kindle Unlimited books and have made a start on reading Navessa Allen’s ‘Lights Out’ – this is far darker than I’m accustomed to but so far the storyline has me hooked.

Watched
Paul, the kids, and I have watched quite an array of festive television this year. I particularly enjoyed BBC’s ‘Click & Collect‘, ‘Stuffed‘, and ‘Amandaland‘. We’ve also squeezed in the traditional annual films, including ‘A Muppet Christmas Carol’, ‘Home Alone’, Home Alone 2‘, and Raymond Briggs ‘ ‘Father Christmas‘ alongside the seasonal soaps such as EastEnders.

Heard
Given that I’m a TikTok scroller, I, like many, have found myself bombarded with various takes of Kato’s ‘Turn The Lights Off’. Boy, it’s a catchy tune and has been added to my playlist alongside various other dance classics.

Made
With it being Christmas, we’ve been busy cooking Christmas dinners and of course, baking mince pies, squidgy chocolate logs, sausage rolls, and various other sweet treats. Away from the kitchen, we’ve finally completed decorating and furnishing our bedroom, and I now have the most beautiful dressing table, bedside drawers, and wooden flooring to complete my cosy cocoon.

Wore
Just before Christmas, I switched my festive candy-cane themed nails for a sparkly black and gold design, and I was then spoilt with brand new Bailey Bow black Ugg boots and a pair of seriously swish headphones which I’ve worn almost every day since.

My Top Three Moments From The Month Gone By
It’s been a non-stop month, but we’ve squeezed in so many memories as a family that it’s somewhat difficult to narrow those moments down to my ‘top three’. I’ll therefore summarise as best as I can …
Following passing her Grade One flute examination, E dazzled us all with her magnificent musical skills as she took to the stage as part of the orchestra, and she serenaded us with seasonal songs in the run-up to Christmas.
After months of singing along to the Six soundtrack back to back on repeat, we surprised E on Christmas Day with tickets to see Six The Musical live in Blackpool. Three days later, we journeyed down to The Winter Gardens in Blackpool and enjoyed the show – it was spectacular!
Christmas was full of surprises for both J and E as we announced the arrival of a further four paws to our household – They unwrapped their surprise in the form of a boxed balloon, announcing the upcoming arrival. We have since visited and met the beautiful Bridget, another basset hound who will be arriving shortly. The kids were, as expected, delighted, and we are now rather excited by the upcoming addition to the family.

…And so that brings this series and this blog to an end. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you all for reading, taking part, sharing your posts, and commenting throughout the years.
Thanks for reading my #LittleLoves posts
