#MySundayPhoto – Castles In The Sky

I’m not sure I’m all that keen on September, don’t get me wrong I love autumn and all that comes with it but at present, I feel as if I’m constantly on the go and that summer is just a distant dream. I am forever looking back at our holiday pictures wondering where shall we go next year? I’m not sure whether a week is long enough as the time flies and you’re left with what I can only describe as ‘the holiday blues’ upon return.

It’s been over a month since we flew out to Spain and already I feel in need of another holiday. I’m already fed up with the rain, the wind and the wonderful weather which us northerners refer to as ‘normal’. Waking up listening to the rain battering against your windows isn’t really my idea of fun, I miss our time together playing in the pool, sipping ‘cervaza’ and soaking up the sunshine.

Whilst in Lloret, the kids and I woke early one morning to find that Paul had taken himself off out for a wander. During this time he’d made his way up what looked much-like a mountain to me but according to Paul was ‘a slight incline’. Upon the hillside which my husband chose to scale stood a magnificent castle, and in the early morning sunshine it made for a rather stunning snapshot.

I would have liked to walk to this castle myself but as the kids and I were out for the count we missed out. In all honesty I wasn’t really up for soaking myself in sweat before breakfast, nor am I a lover of heights or exerting myself at such an early hour. I do however adore the ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ feel to this photograph, it’s certainly something to look back upon and to admire.
