As you may or may not be aware, Darren (from Photalife) that currently runs the #MySundayPhoto linky has decided to call it a day. Although his linky will no longer be based upon his blog, he has decided to continue his photography and the linky via his Instagram page. I will therefore continue to post each week and will duplicate my pictures on both my Instagram and my blog to continue my current trend of weekly #MySundayPhoto posts.
Getting back to the post, and to the pictures! I was rather spoilt this Christmas as my husband took careful notice to follow my Amazon wish list. I am therefore the proud owner of a Lens Ball (which is much like the crystal ball from Labyrinth only for photography rather than the Goblin King) and whilst I wasn’t entirely sure what I’d photograph with such a thing, I gave it a go earlier this week whilst out at the beach.
Here is one of the many shots which I took whilst out, I adore how the image is flipped and the clouds therefore appear to be resting between my fingers. I also love the clear-cut edges of the sphere and the framing effect which the Lens Ball offers to the image.
I felt this photo was fairly apt given that it features a sunset and the sun is currently setting upon 2018. Here’s to a new year, a new start and new beginnings.

Thanks again for reading #MySundayPhoto post, as always I look forward to catching up with your #MySundayPhoto pictures either through your own posts or comments upon this post.

I love playing around with a lens ball. I really don’t use it as much as i’d like.
Have a Happy New Year.
Thank you for linking up and supporting #MySundayPhoto. x
I have now installed a plugin to auto post to Instagram from WordPress and will just do MSPs on there with the hashtag #mysundayphoto
Hopefully that way I can still be part of it or do I need to be in a particular group/ use another hashtag ?
love how the picture always appears upside down
All the best for 2019.
I join in with a #365 photo linky every week if you wish to join us.
Ooo I’ll have to have a look- whose blog is it on ?
