So here we have it, the end of another month and what has been the worst year of my life thus far. I can’t say I’ll be sad to see the back of 2020 but neither am I all that excited about 2021 as I’m not entirely sure that it’s going to be all that much better…
I’ll try to steer away from being ‘Nora Neggy’ and point more towards being ‘Peggy Positive’, so without further ado here a few of the things which I have #LikedandLoved through December.
Advent & The Return of Rocko the Elf
December marked the beginning of advent and the countdown to Christmas.…
November 2020 was just the worst month I’ve ever known, losing my Dad is one of the hardest things I’ve ever dealt with but it’s also taught me a very important lesson – life is incredibly short, shorter than you may believe, thus embrace each and every day, enjoy every moment and hold onto every drop of happiness that falls your way.
With that in mind – I will endeavor to hold onto the happier memories and to celebrate the memorable moments, thus here are a few of the things which I have somehow or other #LikedandLoved throughout November 2020.
Despite living through a lockdown, we made the best of bonfire night at home with a few fireworks and plentiful sparklers – though it wasn’t the large display that the kids have become accustomed to over the years, it was still special and made the night memorable.…
Whilst autumn is my favourite season, this year it just feels so far from normal that I’ve not been able to enjoy it as much as I would have liked. I have however learnt to appreciate the little things in life, as they truly do seem to make the bigger picture so much brighter during such a dull and dreary time.
Though I feel somewhat guilty for listing the things which I have #LikedandLoved during such a tragic time, I will continue to carry out these monthly posts if only to look upon the brighter side of life.
Though we’ve been unable to visit local tourist attractions or to go on our annual neighbourhood ‘trick or treating’ trek, we’ve made the most of Halloween by decorating the house, dressing the kids in creepy costumes, crafting, playing games and watching movies with sweet treats as a family.…
So here we are at the end of September and I won’t lie – it’s not been the easiest nor the most pleasant month but still, I’ll do my best to list a few of the things which I guess that I have #LikedandLoved over the past thirty days.
Both J & E moved up a stage as E transferred from the infants to the juniors, whilst J moved from being a junior to a senior school student. It feels weird seeing my ‘not so little man’ dressed in an entirely different uniform, catching school buses and all that malarkey.…
Sadly, August has come to an end, summer is no longer… School is about to start for September and whilst I’m not entirely sure as to whether or not I’m ready to commence with the chaos, the time is nigh. So without further ado, here are a few of the things which I have #LikedandLoved throughout August.
Thirteen Years Wed
As of this month, Paul and I have been married for thirteen years. It doesn’t feel like thirteen years have passed since we walked down the aisle but I guess time flies both when you’re having fun and when you’ve got kids – I seriously believe that time flicked to double speed the moment that the kids came along.…
