#MySundaySnapshot -The Power of Flowers 31/52 (2019)

Welcome to this week’s edition of the #MySundaySnapshot blog series, a blog-linky simply to share snapshots which you are more than welcome to join. Click here for further information and guidelines upon this linky should you wish to take part.

I don’t often get flowers, certainly not for myself so when I receive flowers it’s a real treat! I love having flowers around the house, they really brighten the place up by adding colour, scent, and life to a room. It’s just sad that flowers die so quickly whilst in my care, sure I add water and the plant food to a vase but give it a few days and the petals usually drop. I have considered buying fake flowers and but it’s not the same is it?

I love the colours of these particular flowers which were kindly given to me at the end of the academic year, the fuschia pink against the yellow screams summer and they look fab in my windowsill!

‘Here we stand
Like an Adam and an Eve
Waterfalls
The Garden of Eden
Two fools in love
So beautiful and strong
The birds in the trees
Are smiling upon them
From the age of the dinosaurs
Cars have run on gasoline
Where, where have they gone?
Now, it’s nothing but flowers”

They are such beautiful colours. I love having flowers around the house too, but like you, don’t buy them for myself (except daffodils!).

They are such happy things , just such a shame that they die in my care lol

They are beautiful, and I love the way fresh flowers brighten up a room and smell so gorgeous. I went through a stage where I didn’t like ‘picked’ flowers in the house as I believed they should be left in their own environment. But in all honesty, they don’t live much longer outside do they? And I know plenty of care is taken in keeping them growing. We need ways of preserving them now that the bees are dying out. 🙁 Now, I love fresh flowers in the house, I just don’t have them very often.

They are so pretty.
It is a shame that flowers don’t last.
