Ahoy Matey! Welcome Aboard #TuesdayTreasures
Welcome to this weeks #TuesdayTreasures blog linky with myself and the lovely Angela from Adventures In Websterland.
#TuesdayTreasures is for bloggers from all walks of life, whether you are a parenting, lifestyle or any other type of blogger you are welcome to join in and to share your posts new and old.
The Blog With The Booty
Each week one post which has been added to the #TuesdayTreasures linky is selected by both Angela and myself to share with you all resulting in two winning posts (a winner is chosen by each of us).
This week I was particularly impressed with some of the tips and advice listed in a fantastically honest post titled ‘How To Cope During Pregnancy With A Toddler‘ written by Lucy from ‘Me,Being Mummy’.
J was three-years old whilst I was pregnant with E and I will openly admit that I had a pretty rough ride during those nine months.
I suffered with horrendous morning sickness which was so extreme it resulted in me requiring medication. I then developed what was then known as SPD (I believe it is now termed as Pelvic Girdle Pain) and by sixteen weeks pregnant I was propped up on crutches, pale as a ghost.
As well as my many medical issues I was also supporting my parents through a rather difficult patch in thier marriage and to top it all off had a toddler to care for. In other words, I was totally cream crackered!
If it hadn’t have been for the support of my husband, my in-laws and my very good friends I think I may have lost the plot. If I am honest, I did lose the plot a few times thanks to the emotional and hormonal rollercoaster which I rode throughout those nine months.
Lucy’s post really made me think back to that difficult time and reflect upon how I would cope if it were to happen now. I certainly would follow the advice she has included in her post that’s for sure!
Lucy shares some realistic goals and super tips for expectant parents with ‘little ones’ already in tow. Growing a human is blinking hard work, especially second, third, fourth or whatever time round when there aren’t the same opportunities for rest as during your first pregnancy.
Lucy lives with her wonderful fiance Paul, their beautiful toddler Teddy and their two cats Winnie and Fred. Lucy and Paul are currently expecting their second baby (a boy) in March 2017.
Lucy is a self-employed hair and makeup stylist. She runs her own business based in Brighton and the South East of England. Lucy has been working in the hair and makeup industry for well over a decade and takes great pleasure in sharing her tips and tricks via her blog.
Lucy writes two blogs, ‘Style and Grace’ designated for all things hair and beauty and ‘Me Being Mummy’, a parenting journal sharing her musings of Motherhood. You can read more of Lucy’s posts here.
I would like to thank Lucy for sharing her fab post and award her with the #TuesdayTreasures Trophy. Here is the code (see above) for your #TuesdayTreasures Trophy. I look forward to seeing your badge proudly on display somewhere on your wonderful parenting blog.
Avast Ye! (The Basics For Linking Up)
The #TuesdayTreasures linky will be live from 5 am every Tuesday and will close at the end of the day on a Thursday. As with all linkys there are some rules and the full version of these can be found here.
Basically, you can link up to a maximum of two posts, new or old. Please comment on the hosts posts (that would be Angela and myself) and at least two other linked posts. If you can please finish your comments with #TuesdayTreasures that would be particularly helpful as it puts bloggers in the know as to how you found their posts.
If you are on Twitter then let us know, You can find us at @RachelSwirl and @FrugalMrsW, again try not to forget to include the hashtag #TuesdayTreasures. We will share your posts and in turn share the love!
Every week we will each pick a favourite #TuesdayTreasures post and will mention it at the beginning of our linky posts the following Tuesday, so don’t forget to pop back each week to check on both of our blogs.
Here is the badge and code for you to use in your post/ posts which you select to link up.
