Each week one post which has been added to the #TuesdayTreasures linky is selected by both Angela and myself to share with you all resulting in two winning posts (a winner is chosen by each of us).
This week I really enjoyed reading Thirsty Daddy’s post ‘Why Rush To Grow Up?‘. This post outlines just how short our childhood is in comparison to the rest of our lives and how we often wish our childhood away.
As a child I remember wishing to be grown up, wishing to be a particular age and it was only when I grew up I realised how hard life really is. Childhood is the most enjoyable, innocent and easy time of our lives which we should savour rather than wish away.
I only hope that my own kids enjoy every moment of their childhood before they grow up and realise the horrors and realities of the World in which they live.
ThirstyDaddy is a forty-year old X-Ray Technologist with a wife and two kids. Being a parent he blogs about children but he also enjoys writing about America, drinking, sports and nerdy stuff. You can read more of his posts here.
