Having spent the past eighteen months or more living through a series of lockdowns, I’m pretty confident in assuming that like us, almost every family around the UK will have at some point taken part in a card or board game to while away the time. We have piles of board games and card games stacked and stored in my son’s cupboard and we often select one or two to bring to the table following a family meal. Games aren’t’ just entertaining and fun to play, they are often educational and can be a catalyst for building bonds, and ultimately…

It’s come to that time of year when board games suddenly rise in popularity as families sit down around the table to enjoy some festive fun by playing their latest purchases. The kids, however, were overjoyed at the chance to get their hands a little sticky and of course to take a look at some new toys. Snack Attack We received a large box filled with goodies including a range of snacks, each…
With the summer holidays only six weeks away, I’ve already started drafting out packing lists – top of which is entertainment to keep the kids happy during their travels. Whilst I’m quite happy to allow the children a little screentime during the flight, I tend to prefer that they steer clear of technology whilst traveling to avoid motion sickness and because wheres the fun in being glued to a gadget?! University Games very kindly sent us three card games: Man Bites Dog, Switcheroo and SmartAss (which I have previously featured and reviewed upon this blog) to rate and review. Each…
