We are finally past the halfway mark to half-term and though our household thrives with a routine, I’ll be honest – it’s beginning to feel very much like groundhog day at present. We seem to do the same things day-in-day-out and though the covid restrictions are easing and things are beginning to open up a little, it’s not the case for us at present.
Unfortunately, E came home from school with a tummy ache and a high temperature and so we’ve spent this morning tickling her brain with a swab stick at the local PCR test centre. As a result, we are currently isolating until we get the all-clear – guest that’s us back to being hemmed in at home.
Due to our current confinement, I’m unable to take all that many pictures at present, thus I’ve opted to share a snap taken earlier this month whilst we enjoyed a walk with the dogs.
Looking at the photo, it’s plain to see that both E & J have had somewhat of a growth spurt. I say a growth spurt but in J’s case, it’s more of a sudden stretch in height as he now towers above me! J has grown so much so that he’s now in men’s Levi 501 jeans, men’s small tops, and size eight men’s Skechers – needless to say, clothes don’t come cheap these days!
Time seems to go by so quickly, especially when you’re a parent, kid’s aren’t kids for long that’s for sure!
