Whilst the weather is still a little undecided as to whether it’s spring or summer, the lighter nights have made all the difference to our days. We’ve spent the past few weeks enjoying regular strolls through the woods, through the fields, and past the pond where we usually spend time feeding the ducks.
The kids have been spending time outside either scooting and cycling around the cul de sac or having fun in the garden on their trampoline, on the swingset, playing scatch, splashing around in the hot tub, painting and drawing in the summerhouse, or simply taking five and enjoying some fresh air from the comfort of the rattan furniture.
Unlike many, we decided against making any holiday plans for the summer. There’s no point in us planning a vacation, whether that be abroad or even here in the UK – we’ve just got too much to do (in terms of DIY) here at home. Here’s hoping that come summer, our plans will run smoothly and we can then take some time to relax and to enjoy our stress-free surroundings for a few weeks.
