The summer holidays sure seem to be flying by, quite probably as we’ve spent the past three weeks staying with my Mum and though we’ve all enjoyed our time away, it will be nice to get home and to get things back to normal for a few weeks before the autumn term begins.
I’d have liked for the weather to have been a little dryer with it being summer but you can’t have it all, thus we’ve been busy playing board games, painting, watching movies, and spending quality time together as a family whilst staying warm and dry. We have managed a couple of walks out when it’s been fair but with Paul and I forever ferrying back and forth to the house to check the builders progress on our kitchen installation, we’ve been rather busy to say the very least.
We may not have done a great deal so far this summer but we’ve most definitely achieved what has felt like a marathon in terms of home improvements. The kids have at least had fun and we’ve made plenty of memories that we will treasure for a lifetime.
