When the going gets tough, the tough get …gaming? At least that’s the excuse that I’m choosing to use for my recent online-shopping splurge!
This time last year my son had saved his pennies up and was desperate for the summer holidays to arrive so that we would finally allow him to splash out on a brand new Nintendo Switch. Since his purchase, I can honestly say that it has been one of the most well-used consoles that I have ever seen in this household. I can actually say hand on heart that the Switch has been more than worth its price tag as it is so well-loved and used.
Having had a chance to play on the Switch myself, I too became a little hooked and with lockdown and the recent release of Animal Crossing, I started wondering whether we could share J’s Switch but felt that wouldn’t have been fair.
Every now and then I believe that we all deserve a little ‘pick me up’ and whether that’s going out for a meal with your loved ones, having your nails done, enjoying a massage, buying some new clothes, meeting with your friends for a drink or… buying yourself a Nintendo Switch, it’s whatever makes you smile right?
Whilst I intended to be the soul-owner of this particular Switch, I should have known better as my little lady has very quickly claimed this console, and whilst I don’t mind sharing in the slightest (as I did suspect this may happen) – I wouldn’t mind a turn…
