It’s been raining continuously for almost twenty-four hours now and as Id expected the roads were like rivers when E and I drove through to her swimming lesson earlier today.
E recently passed her stage two swimming certificate, she has now moved up to a more advanced class at a later time (bang on dinner time!) which began today.
Poor E was accustomed to being one of the strongest kids in her swimming class, whereas now she is one of the smallest, youngest and weakest swimmers in her class, though I’m sure it won’t be long before she finds her feet or should I say fins?
Following her first class at stage three, I took E to Asda for dinner to celebrate. It may not sound like fine dining to some but it’s E’s most favoured place to feast.
After scoffing her sandwich and snacks, E and I went on a hunt for a Halloween costume. E rather fancies dressing as a vampire this year and she had found the exact dress she wanted but sadly it wasn’t in store.
Shortly after arriving home, I took a look online and ordered E’s desired dress which we will pick up next week hopefully along with my wedding ring and Paul’s watch which was sent for repair over a fortnight ago.
J has already ordered his costume for Halloween, he wants to be ‘Bendy’ from ‘Bendy and the Ink Machine’. The outfit looked really good online, although whether the mask comes with the costume we are yet to find out. If not, then I’ll either order one quick smart (so to be ready for the end of October) or I’ll save some pennies and get the face paints out…
After spending a night at their Nana and Grandads whilst Paul and I went to watch Russell Kane last night, J & E are both pretty tired this evening. I can only hope that means they will be early to bed and I can collapse on the couch before another busy week ahead.
With the weather being so miserable, I don’t feel like doing anything other than curling up and keeping cozy on the couch. The heatings on, the kettles boiled and I think I might just have another coffee to keep me going!
Thanks for reading. I look forward to catching up with your #TheOrdinaryMoments posts either through your own posts or comments upon this post.

Our two aren’t really into Halloween – I wish we could go shopping for costumes! x
