It’s most definitely been a soggy Sunday! We’ve had non-stop rain for the past twenty-four hours and whilst I’d usually suggest that it’s the weather for ducks – I’m pretty sure that even they are fed up with the forecast!
E and I drove through to town earlier for her weekly swimming lessons. Unfortunately, the spa facilities were shut, leaving me to watch from the window rather than spectate from the sauna. To be honest, I wasn’t all that fussed as I didn’t really feel like getting wet today, I didn’t really feel like doing much of anything other than wrapping up warm and keeping comfortable.
We didn’t waste our time getting home, the roads were awash with flood water and I was looking forward to a Sunday lunch at the in-laws. Despite eating a pre-packed lunch during the journey home, E decided she had just enough room for Yorkshire pudding and sausages, which she ate whilst I had a coffee and catch up with the in-laws.
With the rain still hammering down outside, we spent our Sunday evening warm and dry, watching Lady and the Tramp from the comfort of the couch.
Our very own little Lady joined us for a snuggle on the sofa, hound huggles are just the best! Although, I’m of no interest to the basset when the boys around, she’s much like his shadow – always by his side!
Thanks for reading. I look forward to catching up with your #TheOrdinaryMoments posts either through your own posts or comments upon this post.

I love how pets have their favourites! Your rainy day sounds much the same as ours! x
Today I had an attack of the “let’s clean” whilst it rained 🙂
