Our little lady has been in need of a new bed for a short while now. She’s been after a desk bed for months and given that we are planning to buy her a television for Christmas, we thought it best to find a surface for it to live upon (ideally a desk) before Santa pays us a visit.
She inherited her original Thuka bed (with a castle, tunnel, tent and a slide all of which we recovered in pink) from her brother and after noticing eight years worth of wear and tear, we decided to sling the slide in exchange for an almost new Thuka high sleeper bed with a desk, toy box and sofa (which doubles up as a futon should E fancy having a friend to stay overnight).
After a short trip to Southport, we collected this beautiful bed which after traveling two hours home, took us a further five hours to put together.
Having noticed that she was lacking a chair, E then borrowed our desk chair until we found a pretty, pink, heart-shaped replacement that we collected this afternoon. To add to that, I’ve also ordered both E & J brand new mattresses which should be delivered later this week.
It’s most definitely been a busy weekend for us adults but we have one very happy (and super spoilt) little lady which makes all the hard work and effort worth it.
Thanks for reading. I look forward to catching up with your #TheOrdinaryMoments posts either through your own posts or comments upon this post.

Oh her room looks so pretty, I’d have loved that when I was little. We’ve just built our Little Man a new bed and it took my husband hours. I do wish they were easier to put together. I hope your Little Lady thoroughly enjoys her new room.
Thanks – her room has been a labour of love over the past year or three lol
