We’ve been homeschooling the kids for almost four months now and whilst that sounds like a long time, it doesn’t really feel all that long.
The kids have been amazing – they completely understand the situation in which we are in and despite their feelings of frustration in regards to missing their friends and family, they have not once lost their mojo.Â
Both J & E have been given individual literacy and numeracy based tasks each morning and then during the afternoons, we tend to come together to work as a team on topic-based, project work. This week we conducted research upon the artists Arcimboldo and Picasso – each of the children then produced their very own self-portrait in the style of their chosen artist.
I’m not sure as to whether E really liked cubism but she certainly gave it a go and the results are stunning!
Thanks for reading. I look forward to catching up with your #TheOrdinaryMoments posts either through your own posts or comments upon this post.

What an amazing portrait, well done E. I’m happy that homeschooling is going well for you. We are having our struggles some days but I’m happy so long as some work is done.
Thanks
