Having worked his stripy socks off for the past however many weeks of home-schooling, J was electronically awarded the lighthouse award late last week. To celebrate his achievement he decided to create a virtual lighthouse using his beloved Minecraft game.
J is mad about Minecraft, he’s got the game on almost every platform imaginable and despite my suggestions to combine his games so that whichever platform he chooses to login upon comes up with the same game, he is quite happy to have a range of Minecraft games to be getting on with.
Whilst I’m not entirely keen on the kids having too much ‘tech time’, I’ve had to let the reigns go a little during the lockdown. To be honest, I don’t really count Minecraft as a game, it’s actually more like electronic lego and therefore more of a creative outlet than gaming.
One thing is for sure, J can build pretty much anything using Minecraft and given the chance he’d spend all day doing so…Â sadly for J that’s not going to happen, not unless hell freezes over which I suppose when you consider all that has gone on during the past three or four months, could well happen!
Thanks for reading. I look forward to catching up with your #TheOrdinaryMoments posts either through your own posts or comments upon this post.

Minecraft really is a fab game! My two still play it now and again but they used to be obsessed! It is a very creative game.
