#TheOrdinaryMoments – Homework Hitler

It doesn’t feel as if it has only been a week since the kids returned back to school, we seem to have fallen back into routine with ease. As always, we spent our Sunday afternoon completing homework before sharing a board game. Both J & E have become so accustomed to having homework, there are never any complaints nor fussing, they just get on with it!

The kids seem to enjoy and respect having structure in their life. We may have a rigid-ish routine but these are our ‘Ordinary Moments’. I’m aware that I may come across as a slave driver, I’m far from it though. The kids still have plenty of time to play, certainly enough to claim boredom from time to time.

Both J & E are making fantastic progress in both their reading and writing, I regularly reward and celebrate their success, thus my wallet is currently £10 lighter. If it means that our kids succeed, then I’m quite happy to use bribery as a form of encouragement. Call me a ‘Homework Hitler’ if you please, I’m just doing whatever it takes to ensure that my kids do their very best.

Thanks for reading! I look forward to catching up with your #TheOrdinaryMoments posts either through your own posts or comments upon this post.

It’s not bribery if you give the money after they have done the work it is a reward and a great tool to use – well that’s what I tell myself haha and I use it very regularly!
It’s great that they are getting on well in school, education is important for all ages!

Ours love a bit of routine and structure too – they love to know what will be happening each day and homework is very much a part of that x
