Our little lad spent half of the working week busy with his buddies on a residential trip, to say that I missed him is an understatement! I know fine well that J is more than capable of coping without us for a few days but I’m not sure that I feel quite the same…
I cannot tell you how glad I am to have our little guy back where he’s meant to be, he too seems pretty happy to be home. Having arrived back at base with what appeared to be an impressive tan, J then hopped into the shower for a serious scrub, where he/ we discovered that his brilliant bronzing was in fact dirt. He has since had numerous baths and a hair cut and looks a whole lot better for it.
E was delighted to have her partner in crime return to the roost. She also missed her big brother and although we had fun together as just us girls, it wasn’t quite the same without the big lad.
With the pair now reunited we’ve enjoyed a weekend of fun, play and relaxation – whilst the washing machine has had its work cut out for it as it’s cleaned, rinsed and spun almost eight loads of clothing from J’s suitcase and soggy, wet bin bag which he brought back from his time away – talk about a souvenir gift, this was the gift that just kept giving!
I’ve since heard all about the ghyll scrambling, canoeing, orienteering, the sleepless nights and the endless, exhausting activities and by-eck did our little man have fun and that’s what it all about.
As always, thanks for reading. I look forward to catching up with your #TheOrdinaryMoments posts either through your own posts or comments upon this post.
