We’ve had an egg-cellent Easter this year; the weather has been amazing and the kids are both in high spirits following an egg-citing Easter egg hunt inside, outside and around the house. They have each been spoilt rotten with chocolate, money, books and fluffy toys galore which they collected during the hour-long hunt. Eggs-cuse all the egg puns, they aren’t even bunny! Feel free to poach all my best yolks
It may have taken the kids almost an hour to collect their bounty, but it took Paul and I almost two days in total to set up the elaborate Easter pursuit. It was certainly well-worth our efforts as the kids had a cracking time!
I’m no eggs-pert but I’m pretty sure that my husband gave The Crystal Maze a run for its money with the complexity of this particular hunt. Not only were the children given twenty clues but those clues included colour codes which related to numbers. Later in the hunt, the kids were asked to put the clues together to crack serial codes for numerous suitcases, which the eggs and easter related goodies were hidden within.
Included within the hunt was a rather special, fluffy bunny which J very kindly got for his little sister weeks back. J was desperate to see E’s reaction to his gift and it was well worth the wait. He’s a good egg…
I’m sure that by bedtime, the kids will both be on a sugar high. With a little luck all the running around (and the swimming in E’s case) will have egg-hausted them enough to enjoy a good nights sleep.
As always, thanks for reading. I hope that you’ve had a fantastic Easter and that you have a brilliant bank holiday weekend. I look forward to catching up with your #TheOrdinaryMoments posts either through your own posts or comments upon this post. That’s all yolks!
