Whilst we’d love to rip out our entire kitchen and start from scratch, I very much doubt that we’ll be able to afford to do so for some time.
We’ve had plans drawn up, we’ve chosen utilities and I’ve got all sorts of ideas for our ‘dream kitchen’ but I’ve accepted that for now, it just ain’t going to happen… However, the walls were crying out for a lick of paint thus Paul and I went shopping earlier today and after much deliberation over which shade of grey we should go for, our son solved the issue by selecting a sage-grey-green shade of paint.
Having arrived home, loaded ourselves with caffeine and shifted the furniture, we made a start on decorating the dining room. It wasn’t long before our little lady came to join us and to offer her help, not one to look a gift-horse in the mouth we gave the girl a brush and after a few hours, we were done and dusted!
We are yet to paint the remainder of the kitchen and I’ve now got grand ideas about buying specialist paints to cover the manky tiles, the kitchen table and … the units. I’m even considering dying the curtains!
It may not be a ‘new kitchen’ as such, it’ll be much more like a ‘sixty-minute makeover’ (which we all know takes way longer than sixty minutes). Either way, with a whole heap of effort and a shizz load of paint it’s hopefully going to look a whole lot better than it does at present!

We had a sage green kitchen and dining room in our old house and it’s such a nice colour. You’re doing a fantastic job! x
