October has been a quiet month. We haven’t done a huge amount but given that we’ve spent the past two weeks recovering from the lurgy (covid), there’s not a lot that we were able to do other than to ride out the virus. Thankfully we’re all better now other than having such rattly chests that we sound like heavy smokers thus I’m hoping we can march on through till Christmas without having to raid the medicine cabinet. Talk about hot weather, it was absolutely SCORCHIO last week and despite having a full day of homeschool planned and at the ready, we decided to ditch studying in favour of some fun in the sun. I cannot express how refreshing it feels to have had almost two days of rain, I can almost hear the plants taking a deep sigh of relief much like my skin, which has seen more than enough sunshine for this year. We had snow earlier this week which was a rather welcome surprise for my little lady, she is now four and half years old yet has never seen the white stuff until now. There wasn’t enough to go sledging nor was there time given that the roads were clear and the School was open. She did however have the chance to build a snowman along with her class friends which we were sent picture evidence of to treasure.
