We’ve been living back at home for a week now and though things are still a bit up in the air as the kitchen isn’t completely finished and we are currently living with plywood temporary flooring throughout the downstairs, it’s good to be back in our own house and gaining some normality. When it comes to our homeschool routine, my husband I and I tend to split the days in terms of leadership. Paul (and the kids of course) usually start the day by having a workout with Joe Wicks from which they then cool down with drinks, snacks, and the latest episode of Newsround. I then step in by leading the literacy, spelling, handwriting, reading, and numeracy whilst Paul’s locked in the office busy working from home. Over the weekend my husband often takes the kids and the dog out on walks, leaving me to catch up on the housework or to take five and enjoy the peace. As much as I love spending time with my family, it’s also healthy to have time out and to spend a little time in your own company now and then.
