It’s most definitely ‘beginning to look a lot like Christmas’, certainly so in this household! My Mum and the kids teamed together to put up and decorate our Christmas tree. For the second year in a row, I stood back and stayed away from the chaos, watching with wonder as the magic happened. The kids must have inherited my eye for symmetry as I haven’t had to rearrange or rehang a single ornament – talk about a job made easy! Winter is most definitely upon us as the woolly hats, scarves, gloves, jumpers, and jackets have made an appearance, well they have for the majority of our household – J on the other hand would be happy wearing shorts and shirts all year round but he’s an entity unto himself! November is a funny month, what with the darker nights and the sudden rush to the Christmas countdown which is the subject on everyone’s minds yet apparently shouldn’t be discussed until at least December, by which time it’s too late to talk about… Though most adults I speak to seem …

We made the most of the warmer weather by enjoying bike rides to the beach and ice creams whilst sat by the sea. The kids settled back into school like ducks to water, they are so resilient these days. It beggars belief that E only has …
The summer holidays sure seem to be flying by, quite probably as we’ve spent the past three weeks staying with my Mum and though we’ve all enjoyed our time away, it will be nice to get home and to get things back to normal for a few weeks before the autumn term begins. I’d have liked for the weather to have been a little dryer with it being summer but you can’t have it all, thus we’ve been busy playing board games, painting, watching movies, and spending quality time together as a family whilst staying warm and dry. We have …
