My husband and I took a trip to Ikea earlier in the week, whilst on our way we got caught up in traffic which left us at a standstill for quite some time. It’s been a seriously long week, some of which has been enjoyable but mostly exhausting. We had a short moment of light relief as the rain finally fell on Friday, this was short lived as we then spent the weekend basking in the baking heat.
It’s really hard to do much of anything with the high temperatures, the cloud cover has helped a little but still, it feels really stuffy and I’m finding it quite a struggle to go about my day-to-day chores without breaking into a sweat and surrendering myself to the sofa.
Whilst I adore summer, there is a limit to the amount of sunshine I can tolerate and my skin has just about had enough.…
Once upon a time I would spend time each week collecting scenic shots specially for My Sunday Photo posts, these days I haven’t the time nor currently the energy to do so. Given that we’ve spent the bulk of our weekend lazing on the lawn, I decided it was more apt to post a paddling pool picture taken earlier today.
The temperatures are soaring at almost thirty degrees and being a redhead I don’t fare well in the heat, neither do our kids or the dogs for that matter. We are all utterly exhausted by the heat but despite feeling drained, we’ve tried our hardest to make the most of the sunshine.…
Summer seems to be the season that everybody looks forward to. There’s so much to do, and the weather certainly helps with being able to take activities outside. When you’ve got kids, there’s nothing better to wear them out for the day than having fun in the summer sun. Winter sees us having to snuggle up indoors and go outside for limited times because of the cold, but this is totally reversed now; we have a lot of catching up to do! So let’s get summer ready…
