With just under four weeks until the summer holidays commence, the annual ‘end of term summer events’ are now well underway. Last week the children took part in ‘Sports Day’ and despite neither of them technically winning, they had a wonderful afternoon and in my eyes – they were both winners simply for taking part. Having been sent numerous alerts from the Met Office warning of thunder, lightning and heavy rain, I was pleasantly surprised to see the sunshine come out for the afternoon.
