Winter is most definitely upon us as the woolly hats, scarves, gloves, jumpers, and jackets have made an appearance, well they have for the majority of our household – J on the other hand would be happy wearing shorts and shirts all year round but he’s an entity unto himself! November is a funny month, what with the darker nights and the sudden rush to the Christmas countdown which is the subject on everyone’s minds yet apparently shouldn’t be discussed until at least December, by which time it’s too late to talk about… Though most adults I speak to seem…

Given that we’ve spent the majority of this month living in lockdown aka isolation, I haven’t taken very many pictures thus don’t have all that many photos to share. I decided to share a snap taken on one of the many Saturdays that we spent walking the dogs, feeding the ducks, and enjoying the summer sunshine prior to autumns arrival. Here’s hoping that can make a return to this routine once Spring is upon us – until then we will cosy up and enjoy the autumn and winter months, snug, safe, and warm indoors.
The summer holidays sure seem to be flying by, quite probably as we’ve spent the past three weeks staying with my Mum and though we’ve all enjoyed our time away, it will be nice to get home and to get things back to normal for a few weeks before the autumn term begins. I’m so grateful for the light nights and the wonderful weather that summer offers, it’s certainly a welcome break for those dull, dank, dark days which seemed to drag on and on especially as we were unable to get out even if we’d fancied braving the elements. Though the kids have been back at school for five months now, it’s not exactly been…
Whilst the weather is still a little undecided as to whether it’s spring or summer, the lighter nights have made all the difference to our days. We’ve spent the past few weeks enjoying regular strolls through the woods, through the fields, and past the pond where we usually spend time feeding the ducks. The kids have been spending time outside either scooting and cycling around the cul de sac or having fun in the garden on their trampoline, on the swingset, playing scatch, splashing around in the hot tub, painting and drawing in the summerhouse, or simply taking five and…
