Fresh starts are on the horizon, the storms seem to have died down and we have been graced with gorgeous weather this weekend. With the winter sun shining bright, we took a Saturday stroll along the shoreline and enjoyed the fresh air whilst the weather was on our side. “Found a little patch of heaven now So then I’m gonna turn oysters in the sand ‘Cause I’m working my way back …

I don’t know if it’s just me but heck, this lockdown seems so much harder than the last! Don’t get me wrong, I’m far happier staying safe at home and keeping the kids busy but it’s so dark, dreary, and dismal at this time of year that it makes everything feel so much more of a trudge. Thankfully the kids have been fabulously flexible and have both been really busy working their little socks off, bless them. Thanks to the glorious weather (minus the random thunderstorm and tropical downpour that we had yesterday) the children have been enjoying daily strolls through the fields and along the shore with their beloved basset. We are so lucky to live just a leap away from the beach, what more could a kid want than the sand dunes and the shore to slide and to stroll along at their leisure? Down In The Dunes A Sandy Stroll I won’t lie – I do tend to get a little fed up with the sandy socks constantly being thrown into the washing basket …
