Over the weekend my husband often takes the kids and the dog out on walks, leaving me to catch up on the housework or to take five and enjoy the peace. As much as I love spending time with my family, it’s also healthy to have time out and to spend a little time in your own company now and then. We’ve been meaning to take E to swimming lessons for over a year now but sadly our local pool was demolished and we were left quite literally high and dry. Whilst we regularly take both J & E swimming at the leisure centre (which is a fifty-minute drive away!) it isn’t quite the same as lessons. Having phoned around a range of leisure centres and private pools, I found a range of slots were available for swimming lessons but none of which were at a time that we could attend. As of today we finally got back into some kind of routine. J started back at school yesterday but as it was E’s day off from nursery we went to the local Tots group, had a brew and caught up with some friends.
