Welcome to this month’s #LittleLoves post, which is part of a series that you are very welcome to join. May has been quite a busy month under this roof of ours. Both J and E have been occupied revising and sitting various examinations whilst Paul and I have kept ourselves busy decorating and updating a few bits and bats around the house. Despite covid restrictions no longer being such an issue, I still feel rather stressed at the concept of getting out and about given that the virus is currently rife especially so in our local area. I am however starting to consider booking activities such as swimming, cinema trips, and once the weather is a little warmer, weekends away at theme parks and such-like. Though it’ll be another year or so before I feel comfortable with the idea of booking a holiday abroad! Thankfully my kids have understood and respected my decisions throughout the pandemic, they have shown such incredible patience…
I’ll be honest, September isn’t my most favoured month. Not only does September signify the end of the summer and the return to routine but the month itself seems to drag somehow and I’m forever counting down the days wishing for Octobers arrival. This week has flown by thankfully, though the weekend seems to have rapidly raced by also which is a little disappointing. Half term came to a close last night after what was a wonderful but incredibly busy week of sunshine, DIY chaos, and a fair amount of family fun. The kids have now returned to school as our regular routine has resumed, though I’m pretty sure that the next six weeks will no doubt fly by and before it’ll be the summer holidays before we know it.
