So here we are at the end of February already. Time seems to be slipping by like sand through my fingers of late but I guess that’s life, especially so when you’re a working and very busy parent. February may be a short month but blimey it was busy! Especially so for the kids with their studies, school, after-school clubs, activities, appointments, and suchlike. Thankfully we had the half-term holidays mid-month so we were able to switch off the alarm and relax for a few days. We ordered and received E’s new bedroom furniture, all of which arrived flat-packed and …

It’s been an odd, rather chaotic couple of weeks, what with the weather having shut schools for a few days and then Covid making an unwelcome return to our household. My diary was full to bursting with various appointments and activities for December but almost all of those have had to be either cancelled or rearranged. There’s no wonder the kids are feeling a little unsettled at present, I’m not particularly keen on the ever-changing schedule so goodness knows how they must feel. Talk about ‘living for the moment’ – we are living each day as it comes at present as …
We’ve had a week of the most wonderful weather which was well-timed for the half-term holiday. Though J & E both love water play, our little lady is particularly taken with her beloved paddling pool and has spent almost every hour of every day …
Our little lady was invited to yet another birthday party over the weekend which despite feeling unwell earlier in the week she attended with her Daddy whilst I took J along to work with me for a little experience in the entertainment industry. Butterfly Princess Whilst at the party E had her face painted, a tattoo printed onto her arm and made full use of the inflatable castles tiring her little body into a tizz. Bless, she seemed to have oodles of fun whilst she was there but due to being under the weather was unable to make it …
With Christmas just around the corner I’ve spent the past few weeks on a super shopping spree in order to sort Santa’s sacks (pardon the pun). I started planning presents months back, plans may be one thing but purchases are another and I’m terrible for holding out for a bargain which is why I’ve left it until now to finalise my festive purchases for family and friends. I’ve never been one for ‘last minute shopping’, I’ve always been organised especially when it comes to Christmas. This year however I’ve held out buying a few bits and pieces in the hope that …
