Gosh I am so sick and tired of being sick and tired! I hate taking time off, I hate letting anyone down especially so when it’s last minute. This week however I found myself in a situation where I had no other option as my body took control.
It’s not the first time that it’s happened either – One moment I was going about my business, washing my face and from what I remember I was about to brush my teeth when there was an almighty thud – it was me … I’d passed out and I had hit the deck.…
Whilst I’d made a long list of plans for the half term, I have put them to one side for the time being as both J & E began their holidays with a bug. Having spent the weekend resting and recuperating, I’m hoping that we can get things back on track and get out and about whilst we have the time together.
E spent the majority of the weekend either snuggling on the sofa or glued to my side, I hate seeing her unwell and other than cuddles and Calpol, there’s very little else I can do.
Despite being a little under the weather, she was adamant that she wanted to go swimming on Sunday.…
The weekend has finally come around: two whole days without work, after school clubs or any commitments other than a kids party to attend. Yet here we are sofa surfing by a table laden with tissues, thermometers, Calpol and cold drinks – not exactly what we were hoping for.
Poor E has come down with what I suspect may be the flu; she has a headache, ear ache, a runny nose, a sore throat, diarrhoea and a slight temperature. Despite sitting snuggled, eyes half-open, she spent the afternoon flat out refusing to have a nap or to rest at all, as she claims not to be tired.…
