Though the kids may be fed up with being isolated indoors, they are certainly not suffering from boredom. Each week I have put together a timetable filled with activities for each day, this includes the schoolwork provided alongside a range of entertaining and educational activities – it sure keeps the boredom at bay!
ordinary moments
These were our ‘ordinary moments’ this time last week, we’d spend each and every evening ‘out out’ along the Cretan coast. I’m not one of those holidaymakers that chose to spend their entire time stuck in a complex, why and how people remain in their hotel for their entire stay abroad is beyond my understanding… there is so much more to be explored and so much more to enjoy! Our kids know fine well that despite whichever hotel we book, they will almost always be out of an evening. They are quite accustomed to strolling along shores, browsing bars and …
Our little lady has never been the best sleeper. As a result, my husband and I have grown accustomed to a serious lack of sleep over the past five and a half years. Due to the dust on the carpet following building the bed, I …

Likewise, Maisy loves nothing more than being by the kids side, whether that be snoozing on the sofa, lazing in the living room or whilst dashing across the dunes. J & E will often argue over who gets to hold Maisy’s lead, it’s such a sweet thing to squabble over as Maisy couldn’t care less – so long as she’s by their side she’s a happy hound! With winter waning and the weather becoming a little warmer, beach walks are …
Play-dough will forever be one of my favoured rainy day activities, which I happily continue to partake within even now at the age of thirty-something. Whilst most children are busy obsessing over slime or play putty, our kids are quite happy to sit and to play with homemade play-dough for hours on end. J is almost ten, yet he still enjoys rolling, moulding and modelling play-dough, as for his sister – she cannot get enough of it! Modelling and sculpting dough is such an incredibly, therapeutic activity which seems to bring peace to our household. Should we have had a …
