I couldn’t tell you how long we’ve been in lockdown now, I’ve lost count of the weeks nevermind the days! I am, however, far happier to remain in lockdown than to risk further lives being lost by relaxing the rules. Don’t get me wrong, I too am fed up of being stuck within the same four walls but I’d much rather remain as we are than rush ahead with getting back to business.…

We’re now on week four? of lockdown and I’ve officially lost all recognition of the calendar as I’m barely able to tell the days apart from one and other. Thank god that we’ve had good weather so far, though how long that will continue to last for I’m not entirely sure…

We are so lucky to live where we do especially in the current climate: we are surrounded by luscious green fields, woodland, rivers, forests, streams and we have the beach almost on our doorstep.…

Day twenty-seven in the ‘Big Mother House’ and the kids have officially turned feral – I’m kidding, well sort of… We have successfully completed yet another week of homeschooling and whilst we’ve done our very best to keep things to some sort of schedule, I’ve suffered somewhat as I seem to have slipped into a calendar coma – I’m barely able to tell what day of the week of it is, nevermind what the time might be…

We’ve come to the end of yet another week in isolation and bar the daily dog walks, the weekly shopping trip to Tesco, and the daily drive to assist and care for my Dad  (who has recently undergone brain surgery) we’re quite happy hermits. Home is our safe place and we are quite accustomed to spending most of our time within these four walls. Though, once you’ve been instructed to do just that, it feels a little different, doesn’t it?…

Apologies for the late post, things are a bit all over the spot at present – it’s very much one day at a time for us of late…

Whilst the entire country is in chaos with the coronavirus, we’ve been doing our very best to keep things as ‘normal’ as they can be all things considering. The kids have been out for a walk with the dog each day, this gives the dog some exercise and the kids’ time to get some fresh air and more importantly – time out from the house.…
