Welcome to the first #LivingArrows post for 2019. If you haven’t read my previous posts within this series #LivingArrows is a linky (run by Donna from What The Redhead Said) celebrating childhood. The project originally took its name from a poem by Kahil Gibran “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” and each Monday I share moments from our week as part of this linky.
I’ll be honest, it hasn’t been the best Monday that I’ve ever had. I feel like I seem to be lacking purpose, motivation or something… I’m just not quite sure what I’m doing to be honest!…
For the first time in years I’m starting to care less about how I look. I feel a lot more comfortable in my body these days partly due to weight loss but mainly due to some kind of mid-thirties self acceptance.
I’ve come to realise other than clothing, hair and makeup there is very little I can do to alter my appearance these days. There’s no point in sitting for hours slaving in front of a mirror dragging GHD’s through my hair each morning when I’d rather throw my hair into a bun, enjoy a brew, save my hair the damage and myself the time.…
As of today we finally got back into some kind of routine. J started back at school yesterday but as it was E’s day off from nursery we went to the local Tots group, had a brew and caught up with some friends. I managed to get a few things done but it wasn’t ‘normal routine’ as such.
It was only this morning when E returned to Nursery that I finally got back into a routine of having some time alone. It was great to catch up on the chores and to take stock following the Christmas break.
I got the children ready for school/ nursery then pottered about cleaning up and tidying away.…
