Having worked his stripy socks off for the past however many weeks of home-schooling, J was electronically awarded the lighthouse award late last week. To celebrate his achievement he decided to create a virtual lighthouse using his beloved Minecraft game. J is mad about Minecraft, he’s got the game on almost every platform imaginable and despite my suggestions to combine his games so that whichever platform he chooses to login upon comes up with the same game, he is quite happy to have a range of Minecraft games to be getting on with. Whilst I’m not entirely keen on the…

We are fairly rigid in our routine, especially so when it comes to bedtime. We usually give the kids their supper whilst they watch a cartoon or two on the couch, they then have their baths and get ready for bed before settling down with a book or two. This evening, however, we mixed things up a little and it’s been quite nice to do things a little differently. The kids had an early supper followed by a quick shower, whilst I got busy with the vacuum cleaner. Having scrubbed and shined themselves, the kids then came downstairs in their…

I find the more basic the better when it comes to toys and kids’ activities.…
With less than a week to go until half term the kids are more than ready for a holiday. It doesn’t feel like all that long ago since we were off for Christmas, yet the kids and I are both in much-need of a well-earned rest. We haven’t a huge amount planned for the half term, I’ve a few appointments written in the diary but other than that, I’m trying to keep our schedule fairly clear. Our Little Lego Lover Having watched the Lego Movie 2 over the weekend, J is now set upon adding to his ever-growing Lego collection with…
I’m going to do my very best to make this weeks edition of #LittleLoves short and sweet as we are child free which is extremely rare and quite frankly I wish to make the very best of the time that we have without the whining. So here goes… Read Rather than reading books this week I’ve found myself learning lyrics. I love reading lyrics, much like poetry lyrics are littered with life’s ‘significant moments’ often fuelled by raw emotion which leaks from the songs as they are then shared. Watched I’m a great lover of comedy as you probably…
