It’s been a bit of a whirlwind of a month, July is always fairly frantic but this year it seems especially so as we’ve been juggling a series of schedules all of which have been action-packed. Having spent the first week of the summer holidays winding down and relaxing at home, we finally got ourselves into action and made some plans for the summer, starting with a day out in the Lakes kayaking with the kids. Though J and Paul were both happy to paddle around in the kayaks for a few hours, E wasn’t too keen on having to use the ores to paddle and push herself around the water thus opted to spend the afternoon swimming whilst I watched and took some photos from the safety of the shore. So here we are at the end of July already. The summer holidays are well underway and the good old British weather is in full force as it’s currently pouring with rain outside.
