This past month has been the end of an era for our kids as E took part in her final sports day, attended her final presentation day, and celebrated the last month of her time in primary school with a spectacular leavers party. To say that it was emotional is an understatement, even E shed a tear or two after walking under the arms of her teachers, teaching assistants, and school staff as they made an arch and wished the kids all the best for the future as they left on their final day. Come September E will be starting …
It’s been a nine-stop month for the kids with various activities both in and out of school. E’s been busy researching rivers, painting pictures, practicing her maths, and photographing local landscapes as part of a project for the end of the summer term. She then received an awesome end-of-year school report and was awarded the book prize for her love of reading thus finishing year five with a fierce smile and a very proud set of parents. J meanwhile blew our socks off as he completed breezed his Duke of Edinburgh Bronze award. He was first at the campsite and …
It’s been a bit of a whirlwind of a month, July is always fairly frantic but this year it seems especially so as we’ve been juggling a series of schedules all of which have been action-packed. Without any further waffle here are some of the things that I have #LikedandLoved throughout the month. Lazing By The Lake With a road closure quite literally trapping us in the village, J and I spent an afternoon enjoying milkshakes, ice creams, and snacks by the lake whilst we waited for the road to reopen so that we could drive home. So here we are at the end of July already. The summer holidays are well underway and the good old British weather is in full force as it’s currently pouring with rain outside.
